Ideals change in way of life, revenge
Bio When Takara was three, her parents had been killed by some samurai, who had passed by their small home, and felt they had not given him proper respect, her entire family was slaughtered, but she was missed because she’d ran and hid in the fields behind her parents’ house at the ruckus of the samurai and his troops going by. She didn’t creep out of the fields until long after dark had descended the screams and cries of her parents and siblings scaring her further. It was several days later when a wandering warrior monk found her nearly starved and took pity on her and took her as his own child.
As she continued growing, her foster father taught her how to fight and be able to defend herself as they traveled from place to place, never staying long. Until she was 13, she never wondered at the arrangement, just glad to have someone who loved her, cared for her, and taught her as he did. For many years she’d had nightmares about the samurai coming back to kill her. A nightmare that still crops up to haunt her to this day.
Finally at the constant questions by her on why they had to move again, her foster father settled down permanently, determined to let her finish growing up in one place. She turned fourteen in that little village and three months later was once more without a family. A strange shogunate and his forces came to the village hunting him. He was quickly killed and they left his lifeless body for her to find when she’d returned from a visit with a sick neighbor.
She wasn’t seen for several days as she buried her foster father and mourned him. Villagers finally come to check on the two of them, and find out what happened. One amongst the villagers saw that she had transcended grief and entered into anger. She eventually separated Takara from the rest of the villages and told her she could connect her with people who would help her get revenge. Takara jumped at the opportunity and thus entered into assassin training.
