Delun Coremonte
Name: Delun Coremonte
Age: 35
Bio: Delun had married young and for the wrong reasons. She’d become pregnant with Elin and agreed to marry the father when he asked her to. It turned out that the only good thing about the marriage had been Elin’s birth and she quickly found that Darin Coremonte was not the man she’d thought him to be. What she’d taken for caring and concern, she soon learned was manipulation, contempt, and controlling.
The only thing she refused to give up in their relationship was the teaching career she’d had before meeting him. She stood firm on that which caused much contention and hurt at first and turned into a thorn in Darin’s side and a weapon when he wanted to belittle her.
Other than that, she conformed to his wants and needs, and her own were ignored. But she was never quite good enough, and he was quick to remind her of that. The only decent thing about him was the fact that he’d never hit her.
Six months ago, Darin was killed in a horrid accident, and according to the paramedics, he’d suffered greatly before he expired. The perverse pleasure she’d had at that bit of news woke her up to just how bad her life had become.
Over the past six months, she has struggled to keep a roof over hers and Elin’s head, and now with the closing of the school she taught at, she must now make choices. The only teaching work she can find is in an Anthro high school. It is too far to commute and still keep a roof over their heads and food on the table.
Realizing that Darin would roll in his grave if she took the job, the prejudice bastard, she decides to sell the house and move closer to the community and take the job. The only housing she can find is on the edge of the community, and at first they didn’t want to rent to her until they learned she was going to be teaching at the school. The rent became ridiculously cheap then and they couldn’t sign the papers fast enough.
Despite Elin’s protests and the return of her rebelliousness, Delun finds herself excited and eager on the first day of school.
