Disa’s First Love
WARNING: Sexual Content
Disa wasn’t sure when it was exactly that she realized she was in love with Sampford. She’d been on the Emerald Rose for almost two years now. Disa’s always felt a kind of gratitude towards the man for taking her in when she was sick and delirious, nursing her back to health and offering her a place on the Emerald Rose as a crew member. She’d been full of wonder and joy as he taught her how to read. He wasn’t anywhere as bad a teacher as Red had made her believe. Then there had been her first kill, he and Red got her so drunk, she’d passed out there in the Cap’n’s cabin. That’d been her first time drinking, too.
When she’d turned sixteen, and became a fully developed, adult female, it’d shocked the crap out of her. Again, Sampford and Red got her drunk, claiming it was in celebration of her becoming an adult. She has vague memories of the men trying to explain the differences between men and women, and the joys they could find together. She remembered nodding and blinking owlishly at them, not understanding a good portion of what they were saying, and thinking it all sounded rather bothersome and too much effort.
She’d woke up the next morning with her and Sampford sprawled across his bed. Red was no where to be found, and Sampford was looking uncomfortable at the sleeping arrangements. She beat a hasty retreat, but started wondering of the words she only vaguely remembered being said the night before.
As the days passed, she’d find herself looking for him when she came on deck. If he was on deck, she’d watch him from afar. Whenever Red found her doing such, he’d make some comment that would turn her face scarlet, and cause her to find something to do elsewhere.
There had been a day when they were in port somewhere on shore leave, that she’d found an outfit she wanted. She was tiring of tunics and half pants. It was an off the shoulder half sort of top. The pieces of fabric that came off the shoulders had extra cloth that was long and billowy. There was also a set of bottoms to it that wasn’t much for covering anything, but her private places down below her waste. She bought the outfit and some sandal shoes she found and liked. Quickly, she had found a place she could change in somewhat private.
When she emerged, Red’s reaction to the outfit made her think she shouldn’t have bought it. He shook his head and asked, “do ye like it lass?” She nodded, not only did she like the freedom the outfit gave her in movement, but she also liked how it felt and looked on her person. Red shrugged. “Tha’s wha’ ma’ers t’en lass, Even if it means I knock heads together for unwanted attentions. Be’n doin’ it since b’fore ye became an adult anyway.”
Disa blinked in surprise, she’d never known this. “Really?”
Red nodded, “aye, really.”
Disa grinned. “My Protector.” Impulsively she hugged him.
Red stuttered. “er… yea… uh… Look, enough of that, or I’ll be knockin’ me own head in.”
Disa stepped back and eyed Red. “Now don’t ye be goin’ an’ doin’ that. Ya might cause yerself some sorta damage.”
Red chuckled. Disa’s speech had become a cross between pirate slang and his own Scottish brogue. “Come ‘long, ‘ime we be ‘eaded ba’.”
Sampford was on deck when they’d returned. His eyes about popped out of his head at the sight of Disa, and he seemed to be choking on something. Attempting to look innocent, Red unnecessarily told Sampford, “the lass fina’y foun’ clo’es more sui’ed ta ‘er. Shea no longer loo’s li’e a lad by mistake.” Sampford gave him a piercing look.
Disa didn’t understand what had just happened, and looked at the two puzzled. “Indeed,” was all Sampford said, and then he walked off. Disa looked at Red in mild confusion; he just shook his head in disgust and shrugged at her.
Since that day, it seemed Sampford avoided her when he could, and when he couldn’t, he seemed very uncomfortable in her company. She didn’t understand, and was hurt by his actions. Finally, Red took pity on her and explained. “’E likes ye, lass, bu’ wonae a’mit ta I’, da ‘ummox.”
“Why?”
Red sighed, “because he’s ‘aven a ‘ard ‘ime reconcilin’ ta wee lass ‘e rescued fro’ death and a possible mob with ta lo’ly ‘oman ye’ve become.”
Disa looked out over the sea at his words. They were in their usual spot before bedtime. She had a thoughtful look on her face. Turning back to Red, she said simply, “then ta things ye two had tried ta tell me durin’ me adulthood celebration cannae be.”
“’Ell no’, lass, I wouldnae say ne’er. I coul’ hit ‘im o’er ta head, tie ‘im dow’, give ye a ew idears, an’ turn ye loose on ‘im.” There was a twinkle in his eyes as he spoke.
Disa shook her head. “No, If he dunnae want me on his own, then so be it. I’ll jes find someone who does.” She looked back out to sea, a sad look on her face.
Red stared at her in surprise, but he couldn’t fault her logic. He’d known for sometime the two had a thing for each other, though neither would admit it to the other. He’d tried many ways to bring them together after Disa became an adult, but it never seemed to happen. He felt the two would be good for each other, and his suggestion was a last ditch effort. He sighed, and then cleared his throat. She turned and looked at him. “Any t’oughts on ‘oo?” There were a few of the crew, that no matter what, he’d not allow them to have her.
Disa shrugged and looked back at the sea. “I hanae given it thought til now.” She grew quiet a moment, then spoke again, slowly and thoughtfully. “Hmm, well there’s… Sven, Hammons, Pal, you, Morten…” She shrugged.
Red had been puffing on his pipe, nodding thoughtfully as she named crew. He’d almost missed her reference to himself, and when it did register, he choked on the inhalation of smoke. His voice a bit weak from the coughing fit, “me, lass?”
Disa shrugged again. “Why not? I know you best of the crew.”
Red was at a loss as to what to say. She did have a point. He’d also be a lot gentler with her than some of the eager pups she’d named off. “I dunnae know, lass…”
Disa finally turned and looked at him. “Do ye have the same problem Cap’n does?”
Red blinked then chuckled. “Nae, lass. I see a full gro’n woman, nae a bairn when I look at ye. ‘Specially in tha’ git up ye now wear.”
Disa grinned then cocked her head. “So…”
Red sighed. “Lass, t’ink, ‘ow ‘ill t’is chan’e our frien’ship? ‘Ow woul’ t’ings be betwe’n us shoul’ we do t’is?”
Disa sighed and looked back to the sea. “How would it be wit any crewmate I decide to take? Perhaps I should jes wait till we reach a port and find someone there…”
“NO!” Disa jumped and looked at Red wide eyed at his vehement outburst. “A’ight, lass, I git yer point. I still be saying ye shoul’ let me knock ou’ an’ tie up ta Cap’n. Or git ‘im really, really drunk.”
Disa shook her head. “No, Red.” I willnae do that to him. He’d end up hatin’ ye, me, and hisself in the end.”
Red gave an exasperated sigh. “yea, I kno’.” He rose to his feet and held a hand out to Disa. “Come on, lass.” She took his hand and let him help her rise.
He led her to the second cabin on Emerald Rose that by rights, should have been his. Once inside, he started to caress her bare skin and kissed her gently. She shivered at his touch, and he tasted of his pipe tobacco and the fish they’d eaten for dinner. She found it to be an interesting combination of flavors. His beard was a bit prickly against her skin, but she didn’t mind. Uncertain what exactly she should do, she tried to caress him back, but her hands were awkward and clumsy.
He caught her hands and looked at her. “Are ye sure lass?” Disa nodded, not trusting herself to speak. He gave her a searching look, then led her to the bed and worked on getting her clothes off. Once done, he removed his own clothes and laid next to her. He looked at her again. “This might hurt at first.” She nodded again.
Red leaned in and kissed her. Slowly he moved down and along her jaw line to her ear and nibbled lightly on it. Disa shivered, it was causing odd sensations to travel through her body. When he started trailing his tongue down her neck, her eyes half closed. Though the sensations were odd, she found they felt pleasant. His tongue found its way one of her nipples and swirled around it briefly before his lips closed around the suddenly taught bud. She gasped and her eyes closed as she then moaned with pleasure. Soon he started moving towards the other nipple, and Disa began quivering in anticipation. She sighed as he started on that breast.
Red gave a mental smile at Disa’s reactions. As he kept up his ministrations to her body, he noted that she started moving in rhythm with what he was doing. It amused him how virgins themselves never knew what they were supposed to do, but their bodies always did. Disa seemed to float on a cloud of pleasant sensations, though she was starting to have this need for more. Only she didn’t know more of what.
When he judged her relaxed and ready, he positioned himself to enter her. Slowly he slid in until he encountered that thin wall of skin that proclaimed her virginal. He paused ever so briefly, then gave a quick thrust forward, breaking that skin and entering her fully. He stopped, waiting for her body to adjust and accept his sudden invasion.
Her eyes flew open and met Red’s at the briefest of stabbing pains. She realized suddenly that his manhood was hard and inside her. Something seemed to make a connection; this was the more she was wanting. She looked at him in inquiry, not sure what he was waiting for. Red gave the ghost of a smile at her look. “Are ye ok?” When she nodded, he really smiled. Slowly, he started moving in and out of her. He watched the pleasure return to her face as he raised the speed of his movements bit by bit.
Soon, her body was demanding a faster pace from him, and she was moaning with pleasure. He sensed the tension building in her and fought himself. He didn’t want to release until she’d found hers. He was determined that she would have pleasant memories of her first time, even if all other lovers after this were disappointments.
Suddenly, her velvety soft tightness spasmed around him. She arched and cried out. He sped up his pumping, relaxing to gain his own release. She spasmed and cried out again, mingling with his own cries as he threw his head back in his own release caused by her second orgasm. Finally he collapsed on top of her as their orgasms subsided. Both lay quietly as their breathing and hearts returned to normal, and they drifted off to sleep.
