Dinoland
Okay based off ElfQuest Comics and Dinotopia Series/Movies. And an Idea Wolf, Cal, and I played around with for a Holt tribe idea.

History
Way back long ago, Mages played at being Gods. They tried making human dinosaurs. The experiments were horrible and hideous and considered a failure. They were dumped out in the wild to perish and not thought of again. Sadly, most of them did perish, but a few managed to survive and even flourish as a species, and eventually became a society.
Over time and evolution, two branches of this new species emerge, one human looking, and the other Dinosaur looking. The common ancestry and blood they share allows for a bonding of sorts, and they communicate telepathically. Together the two groups live in harmony, and co-exist easily. Over time, there came to be more Humans then Dino’s, and not everyone has a bond.
They have managed to settle deep within a monster forest that has a huge loch in its center. Within the loch is a network of islands. They have eked out an existence on those islands and habitable places along the shore of the loch. They don’t have overly much contact with the outside world, though it’s been known to happen now and again.
Types of Bonds
There are six types of Dinosaurs that have survived and can bond with a Human equivalent. So this means if you chose to bond with a Raptor, then your Human has Raptor genes as well.

Story Idea
The Dino culture has lived in relative peace and quiet for centuries now. They still remember the stories of their creations and abandonment. They don’t even really consider themselves human anymore. Now and again strangers come from outside. IF they are willing, they get absorbed into Dinoland, if not they are blindfolded and taken somewhere far away and left to find their own way back to civilization.
So who are you? A Dinoland inhabitant trying to keep your way of life? Maybe a malcontent in Dinoland who wishes to see the world (could be bonded or not)? Or a lost wanderer who has stumbled upon Dinoland?
